In the book of the Genesis chapter 3:15 where Adam disobeyed God and committed sin against God. Here God makes the statement, "I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your off spring and hers; he will crush your head and you will strike his heel."
This statement made to Satan because it was the Satan who told Eve to have the fruit to be like God, and Eve listened to Satan and Adam listened to Eve. So when God came and called Adam, Adam was afraid because he was naked.
God said, "Who told that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree which I commanded you not to eat?" Because God knew that he committed sin and hiding his secret parts of his body with leaves. Sin brings consciousness. Adam and Eve's eyed was opened and they realized they were naked. That is why God made this statement to Satan where we come to know the war fair took place between God and Satan.
God will continue His plan based on the promised Messiah initiated in Genesis 3:15. This calls the first Gospel promise in the Bible. Because this promise Messiah, the promise seed of the woman which will crush the head of the Satan. Satan will do his best to see that the promise made in Genesis 3:15 does not success. The entire panorama of the Old Testament revolves around the conflict between God and Satan.
Adam's responsibility was to pass this truth of God to the succeeding generations but unfortunately he failed this, and as a result the world became so wicked that God had to destroy everything which had breath.
We know from the Scripture said that Noah found grace in the eye of God and through Noah and his seeds the promise made continued.
It was Noah's responsibility to pass on his son's the truth of God but unfortunately after several generations the truth became obscurity. Man became idolaters and gathered around the tower of the Babel and that time God confounded their language and spread them throughout the region of this earth. After Noah God wants to continue His promise and found another wise man named Abraham and from him this promise seed continue and then through Isaac the promise made and then not through Esau but through Jacob the promise made.
Not through the first born because Satan already got him. Not to the second or the third son because Satan already captured them too for murder and revenge but to the fourth born son Juda does the promise came. From Juda to David and his seed and on down to the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because Satan every time tried his best not to come true this promise made by God on Genesis 3:15 but throughout our study of the Holy Bible we know the Satan failed.
Galatians 4:4, "When the time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under Law." And to see His victorious on the Cross and His resurrection and now His current position in heaven. God chose these people of Israel and through them God decided the Messiah to come. God wants us to come to Him. As we know Satan is a liar and looser and he always try to put doubt in our mind to keep us away from God and His truth. God hates this sin because this sin separates us from God. God loves sinner but hates sin. As Bible says. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans, 6:23). Thanks God that His promise (3:15) came true and through our Lord Jesus Christ we are more than conqueror.
Very sad this Israel people every time disobeyed God and finally God hand over this people to the king of Babylon Nebuchadnezzar on 586 B.C. Later God again hand over Jerusalem and temple and the city through Cyrus and Artaxerxes by the prophet Ezra and the prophet Nehemiah.
